Pompeo’s tweet, “The Biden administration’s weakness is provocative. Xi Jinping and the CCP are growing bolder because of it. Shoot down the CCP’s balloon safely, and demand answers from Xi,” was a powerful message to the Biden Administration and the American people.
Haley echoed the sentiment, tweeting, “Shoot down the balloon. Cancel Blinken’s trip. Hold China accountable. Biden is letting China walk all over us. It’s time to make America strong again.”
The White House has suspended Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s scheduled visit to China, but this is not enough. The Biden Administration needs to take strong, decisive action to send a clear message to the CCP that their acts of espionage will not be tolerated.
