The liberal mainstream media is once again trying to downplay the significance of Special Counsel John Durham’s ongoing investigation into the origins of the “Trump-Russia collusion” hoax.
But the truth is, this is a landmark investigation that could finally bring accountability and justice to the deep state elites who conspired to undermine the Trump presidency and attack our democracy.
Recently, a court filing by Durham revealed the outlines of a corrupt conspiracy by operatives linked to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign to entice the FBI and CIA to use their powers against the rival Trump campaign and presidency. Durham has signaled to the American people that his investigation has legs and that accountability in D.C. might actually happen.
Despite this, Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are trying to take action against Durham as he prepares to release an investigative report following his more than two-year probe into the false ‘Trump-Russia collusion’ narrative. The chairman of the committee, Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), is even claiming that the Trump administration “weaponized the Justice Department.”
What a joke! The real abuse of power is what the Democrats and the deep state did to President Trump and the American people. The real weaponization of the Justice Department is what the Obama administration did to spy on the Trump campaign and launch the Russia hoax.
The fact is, Durham’s investigation is not going away, and it’s not going to be shut down by the Biden DOJ or the Senate Judiciary Committee. Durham has now made it much more difficult for the president or attorney general to dump him, and the American people are behind him.
Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan has predicted that Durham will at some point go after the FBI for its alleged role in perpetuating the false Trump-Russia narrative.
Jordan is working to expose problems with the Trump-Russia investigation and has noted that Russian-born analyst Igor Danchenko, a key source for the Steele dossier, was arrested as part of the Durham investigation.
The Steele dossier, which had connections to Clinton’s 2016 campaign and the law firm Perkins Coie, is a collection of lies and misinformation that started the whole Russia investigation.
It’s time for the truth to come out, and it’s time for the deep state to be held accountable. The American people deserve to know the full extent of the corrupt conspiracy to undermine President Trump and attack our democracy. And they deserve to know that the justice system is not just for the elites, but for every American.
