GUESS Which Cable Network Ratings Is Stepping On The Others

Passionate Republican voters, rejoice!

Fox News Channel has once again dominated the cable news ratings, beating CNN and MSNBC for 24 straight months.

According to the latest ratings report, Fox News averaged 1.4 million total viewers in February, making it the only basic cable channel to crack the 1 million benchmark. Meanwhile, MSNBC finished second with 711,000 average viewers, followed by ESPN, HGTV, and CNN.

During primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET, Fox News averaged 2.3 million viewers, while CNN failed to crack the top 10 with a dismal average primetime audience of 587,000.

Fox News also finished with 189,000 average total day viewers compared to 89,000 for CNN and 80,000 for MSNBC, solidifying its position as the top-rated cable news network.

The success of Fox News is not just limited to its overall ratings. In fact, Fox News accounted for the 13 most popular shows in February, including “The Five,” “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” “Jesse Watters Primetime,” “Hannity,” “Special Report with Bret Baier,” “The Ingraham Angle,” “Gutfeld!” “Outnumbered,” “America’s Newsroom,” “The Faulkner Focus,” “Your World with Neil Cavuto,” “America Reports,” and “The Story.”

Along the way, Fox News aired 94 of the top 100 cable news telecasts for the month.

Meanwhile, CNN’s ratings continue to decline, with the network on pace to have its smallest monthly audience since the Obama administration among the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults ages 25-54.

February marked CNN’s smallest audience among the demo since 2012, and during primetime, CNN settled for just 122,000 demo viewers while MSNBC managed 119,000. It was CNN’s worst primetime performance in the category since 2013.

It’s clear that Fox News continues to be the top choice for cable news viewers across the country, thanks to its fair and balanced coverage of the latest news and events.

With its unwavering commitment to journalistic integrity, Fox News remains the gold standard for cable news networks.
