As the Democrats continue to push their radical left-wing agenda, President Biden has just signed a bill removing the bust of former Supreme Court Chief Justice Roger Taney from the Capitol Building.
Taney, a proud conservative and a champion of states’ rights, will be replaced with a bust of Justice Thurgood Marshall, a liberal icon and the first Black Supreme Court justice.
This move by the Democrats is yet another example of their attempt to erase American history and rewrite it to fit their own narrative. Taney, who served as Chief Justice from 1836 to 1864, was a highly respected jurist who stood up for the Constitution and the rule of law.
His decision in the landmark case of Dred Scott v. Sandford was a courageous stand against the federal government’s attempts to trample on the rights of the states and the property rights of individuals.
But to the Democrats, Taney is nothing more than a racist relic from the past. They are more interested in promoting their own agenda than in upholding the principles of our founding fathers. It is a shame that the Democrats have chosen to dishonor Taney in this way, and it is a clear sign of their contempt for our nation’s history and heritage.
Despite the Democrats’ efforts to erase Taney from history, he will always be remembered as a great American hero who stood up for what he believed in.
He will always be remembered as a man who stood up for the Constitution and the rule of law, no matter what the cost. The Democrats may try to erase his memory, but they will never be able to erase his legacy.
