Donald Trump, a former US president, has been given a second chance on Twitter. Elon Musk, the new head of the social media network, provided an update following a poll. Musk stated in a tweet: “The people have spoken. Trump will regain his position. Additionally, he said the Latin proverb “Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” which means “the voice of the people is the voice of God” in English. It was reported that the former US president’s account returned shortly after Musk’s message.

The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, launched a poll on Saturday with the question, “Reinstate former President Trump?” The difference in votes between those who supported his return to the microblogging website and those who opposed it was relatively small. The majority of users—51.8%—wanted the former US president to return to Twitter.
This occurs shortly after Trump declared his intention to run for president in 2024. Following the Capitol Hill riots in 2021, his Twitter account was blocked “because of the possibility of additional instigation of violence.” For his Facebook page, similar action was also taken.
The Republican leader had highlighted Twitter issues just before the poll’s conclusion and declared that he would stick to his own platform. I’ve heard there is a significant vote in favor of returning to Twitter. I don’t see it because I don’t see any need for it,” Trump reportedly said via video link to the Republican Jewish Coalition gathering in Las Vegas. It might succeed, but it might not.
When the US’s midterm elections were held earlier this month, Musk made his political views known by urging Americans to support the Republican party.
Musk has been running these polls as the social network is now experiencing a period of layoffs and exits. Almost all of the personnel were let go after Musk took over last month. According to reports, an exodus began on Friday as a result of the new boss’s ultimatum on “extended work hours.”

But there are many speculations going around that Trump is in no mood to accept Musk’s generous offer. It’s still a mystery as Trump has not responded to this news in any way.
