It’s no surprise that the Democrats are once again trying to cover up their own misdeeds. According to a press release exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital, the recent discovery of classified documents in President Joe Biden’s possession raises red flags and calls into question the integrity of this Administration.
Democratic Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., suggested that the documents may have been planted, a desperate attempt to deflect from the real issue at hand.
“I’m suspicious of the timing of it,” Johnson told Fox News’ Hilary Vaughn on Thursday after a second batch of documents was found in the president’s garage in Wilmington, Delaware.
“I’m also aware of the fact that things can be planted on people… things can be planted in places and then discovered conveniently. That may be what has occurred here. I’m not ruling that out. But I’m open in terms of the investigation needs to be investigated.”
But, despite Johnson’s speculations, Biden admitted to Fox News’ White House correspondent Peter Doocy that he knew they were in his garage. “So the documents were in a locked garage?” Doocy asked. “Yes, as well as my Corvette,” Biden answered.
It’s clear that the Democrats are trying to downplay the seriousness of this situation. This is not some small mistake, it’s a breach of national security. President Biden’s handling of classified information should be thoroughly investigated.
And, while the Democrats may try to compare this to the investigation into former President Donald Trump, the two situations are vastly different. Unlike President Trump, President Biden has shown a pattern of carelessness and a disregard for national security.
In a refreshing change from the politicization of the Department of Justice during the Trump years, Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed Robert Hur as the special counsel to investigate the classified documents. It’s about time that President Biden is held accountable for his actions.
The American people deserve to know the truth about what is happening in the White House. It’s time for the Democrats to stop their political games and for President Biden to be transparent and honest with the American people. The safety and security of our nation is at stake.
