Donald Trump has recently set his sights on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, claiming that Florida is a high-tax hellhole. However, critics are pushing back against Trump’s accusations, pointing out that hundreds of thousands of people have moved to Florida in the last couple of years, suggesting that the state is doing well.
Even though it’s not uncommon for governors to be criticized when they run for national office, the head of DeSantis’ Super PAC, Never Back Down, offered to pay for Trump to move to California.
It’s clear that Trump’s sudden dark view of Florida doesn’t pass the grandparent’s test. If it’s such an abysmal place, why are so many grandparents (or parents) moving there or becoming snowbirds for the winter?
