The White House has come under scrutiny after President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was invited to accompany his father and aunt to Ireland, despite ongoing scrutiny over the Biden family’s foreign business dealings and dual investigations.
Emails reviewed by Fox News Digital reveal that in 2011, Hunter’s former investment firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners, discussed making contacts to expand their energy investments in various state-owned investment funds, including in China, Ireland, Oman, and Qatar. However, it is unclear whether Hunter and his now-defunct firm were successful with any potential business ventures in Ireland.
In addition, it has been revealed that during the trip to China in 2013, Hunter introduced his father, who was then Vice President, to Li, his Chinese business partner. Hunter had expressed interest in joining his father on the trip and was allowed to accompany him.
The news of Hunter’s involvement in the family’s foreign business dealings and the lack of transparency surrounding them have raised questions of whether Hunter will use the Ireland trip to further his financial interests.
Despite this, the White House declined to respond to Fox News Digital when asked whether it was aware of the 2011 email before the Ireland trip or whether it could guarantee Hunter would not use the trip to further his financial interests.
