Recent polls have shown that Joe Biden’s age is a concern for Democratic voters ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
A Yahoo News/YouGov poll from March 2023 found that almost seven out of ten voters believe that the 80-year-old president is “too old for another term” in office. The poll also showed that more Democrats agree rather than disagree with that assessment.
If Biden does decide to run again, he will face challengers for the Democratic nomination, including Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Marianne Williamson. California Governor Gavin Newsom has also been touring the country and may enter the race.
While Biden has not formally declared his candidacy, both First Lady Jill Biden and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre have suggested that he intends to seek re-election.
