Emails retrieved from Hunter’s laptop show that he leveraged his network of business associates to aid Coons’ fundraising efforts, including setting up fundraising events and reaching out to potential donors.
Coons, who is a member of both the Foreign Relations and Judiciary Committees, has been a significant global emissary for many years and has no problem telling reporters that he has the president’s ear.
It’s not clear whether Coons met with Hunter and Eric Schwerin, the president of Rosemont Seneca Partners (an investment fund Hunter was involved with), together or separately.
However, what is clear is that Hunter played a crucial role in aiding Coons’ fundraising efforts.
This latest revelation is just further evidence of the Biden family’s long history of profiting off their political connections.
