Former President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning about the future of the United States, claiming that election security must be ensured ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Speaking at a rally in Texas, Trump stated that he believed the 2024 election would be the “final battle” for the nation’s future.
Trump criticized what he described as a corrupt justice system, weaponization of law enforcement, and rigged elections, stating that America had become a “banana republic.”
He promised his supporters that he would be vindicated and victorious, while those who had sought to undermine his presidency would be “defeated, discredited, and totally disgraced.”
The former President also challenged the “deep state” officials who opposed his presidency, arguing that “Either the deep state destroys America or we destroy the deep state.”
Trump criticized the ongoing Special Counsel investigation into his actions, as well as a potential grand jury indictment from the Manhattan D.A.’s office, which Republicans claim is “election interference.” He also took aim at Stormy Daniels, the alleged recipient of a “hush money payment” at the center of the grand jury probe.
The former President ended his speech with a message of hope, stating that “in 2024, we’ll have the greatest victory of them all.”
