So, let me get this straight.
The government is gonna solve the debt crisis by eliminating the concept of debt?
You know, as a comedian, I gotta say, this is some of the funniest stuff I’ve heard in a while.
I mean, think about it. If they eliminate the concept of debt, then we don’t have to worry about owing money to anyone, right?
I mean, how many times have we all been in a situation where we owe someone money and it’s just like, ugh, I wish I didn’t owe this person money?
But wait, if the government eliminates the concept of debt, then we’ll never have to feel that way again! Genius!
But what’s even more hilarious is that they’re gonna do this by just getting rid of the debt ceiling.
You know, that thing that stops the government from spending more money than it has.
The thing that’s supposed to keep us from going bankrupt. But, you know what? Screw it! Let’s just get rid of it!
And then, we can just keep spending and spending and spending. I mean, why not? We don’t have to worry about owing anyone anything.
It’s like a dream come true!
We can just keep buying all the things we want and never have to worry about paying for them. It’s like a never-ending Christmas morning!
But, wait, what about all the people who lent us money? You know, like China? And all the bondholders? I mean, they’re gonna be pretty upset when they find out they’re not getting paid back.
But, you know what? Who cares! We don’t owe them anything! We eliminated the concept of debt!
And then, of course, there’s the little matter of the credit rating. You know, that thing that tells the world how financially stable a country is.
But, who needs that? I mean, we eliminated the concept of debt! We’re financially stable!
And then, of course, there’s the little matter of the economy. You know, that thing that keeps us all going. But, who needs that?
I mean, we eliminated the concept of debt! We’re all set!
And, you know what?
I have to give credit where credit is due. This is some of the most original thinking I’ve ever seen. I mean, who would’ve thought that the solution to the debt crisis was to eliminate the concept of debt?
It’s like the government is playing a game of Jenga and instead of pulling out the right block, they just knocked the whole thing down.
But, you know what?
I’m gonna give it a try.
I’m gonna go out there and eliminate the concept of debt in my life. I’m gonna stop paying my bills, I’m gonna stop paying my taxes, and I’m gonna see how it goes.
