It is unacceptable that the once-great Disney company has sunk to such lows as to promote a dangerous leftist, anti-American agenda to our nation’s children. Disney’s latest show, “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,” which premiered on February 1st for Black History Month, is a prime example of the indoctrination and brainwashing taking place in the entertainment industry.
In an upcoming episode, “Juneteenth,” the main character, Penny, and her friends learn about the importance of Juneteenth and discover that the founder of their fictional town of Smithville, California was a slave owner.
The children then give a speech claiming that America was “built on slavery,” and that descendants of slaves continue to earn reparations for their ancestors’ suffering. This is not only a gross misrepresentation of history, but it also promotes the false idea that America is inherently racist and oppressive.
The show goes even further to discredit the legacy of President Abraham Lincoln and the fact that he fought to free the slaves. It is disheartening to see that Disney is willing to spread such harmful lies to young, impressionable viewers.
To make matters worse, the show also features a scene where Randall Leibowitz-Jenkins, the parent of one of the characters, tells his gay lover, Barry, to use his white privilege to do something. This promotes the dangerous notion of white guilt and perpetuates the divisive narrative pushed by the radical leftist movement Black Lives Matter.
Why is Disney using its platform to push a divisive, leftist agenda to our children? This type of propaganda has no place in our society, let alone in children’s entertainment. Parents should be outraged at the content being fed to their children, and it’s time for a call to action to protect our kids from the brainwashing taking place in the media.
