Once again, the Democrats are putting the interests of illegal aliens ahead of the American people. The latest example is happening in New York City, where taxpayers are paying for illegal aliens to stay in a luxury Manhattan hotel, the Watson Hotel.
But even this isn’t good enough for these border crossers, who are now demanding permanent homes in the city’s most expensive properties for free!
While New Yorkers, particularly working and middle class, are struggling with sky-high rents and home prices, Democrats like Mayor Eric Adams are constructing massive shelters for these illegal aliens.
It’s outrageous! And yet, the Republicans in Congress representing New Yorkers have been largely silent on this issue, even though it’s well established that immigration-driven population growth drives up housing prices and is making it harder for Americans to afford a roof over their heads.
According to Breitbart, A 2017 study published in the Journal of Housing Economics found that “increases in immigration into a metropolitan statistical area are linked with rising rents and home prices in that metropolitan statistical area and neighboring metropolitan statistical areas.” So why are the Democrats, who claim to care about the working and middle class, allowing this to happen?
The answer is simple: Democrats are more interested in pandering to illegal aliens and their open borders allies than standing up for the American people.
And it’s not just housing prices that are being impacted by the Democrats’ open borders policies. Nearly 50,000 border crossers have been bused to New York City since last spring, putting a strain on the city’s resources and public services.
It’s time for the Republicans in Congress to stand up and put an end to this madness. Americans deserve to have a government that prioritizes their interests, not the interests of illegal aliens. And they deserve to live in a country where they can afford a home, without being pushed out by mass immigration driven by the Democrats’ open borders policies.
