Governor DeSantis wishes Florida a Happy Thanksgiving

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) of Florida sent a Thanksgiving message on Tuesday in which he discussed the blessings that Americans have and what his family is grateful for.

“President George Washington proclaimed “a day of public thanksgiving and prayer for the American people to acknowledge with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God,” particularly by giving them the chance to peacefully establish a form of government for their safety and happiness, in a document that was published two hundred thirty-three years ago. Being Americans and residing in the libertarian state of Florida is a blessing, “added DeSantis.

Despite not formally declaring an interest in running for president in 2024, DeSantis, who was just reelected with a landslide victory, has been mentioned.

Despite the numerous issues that our nation has encountered recently, he said, “we have the ability to address these issues and usher in better days.”

The governor also briefly discussed his family’s challenging year as Casey, his wife, fought breast cancer.

“We have a lot to be grateful for, including the First Lady’s good health, our three kids Madison, Mason, and Mamie, and the confidence Floridians have in me and my administration to keep up the fight. We’ll protect Florida’s freedom. God bless you everyone, and I appreciate it.”

First Lady Casey DeSantis received treatment for breast cancer earlier this year, as Townhall reported in the previous year. Governor DeSantis said in March that his wife had finished “both therapy and surgery for breast cancer” and was “considered cancer-free.”

By May, Casey DeSantis was triumphantly back on the campaign trail for the 2022 midterm elections. She joined the governor for a meal in The Villages and commented, “I don’t know whether this sounds very first lady-like, but gosh it feels nice to be here.

With his reelection victory earlier in November, DeSantis demonstrated once more that, despite what the national Democrats and the media claimed about him in their attacks, he had in fact gained the trust of Floridians via his fight to oppose radical Marxist ideas.

DeSantis concluded his Thanksgiving speech by promising to “Keep Florida Free,” reiterating a theme from his 2022 campaign. There’s no doubt that people who value Florida’s independence are grateful this year that DeSantis will keep serving as governor and serving as an example of how conservative administration is effective.
