Tara Reade, a former staffer for Joe Biden, has come forward with accusations of sexual assault against the President.
Reade initially accused Biden of penetrating her with his fingers after pinning her against a wall, but Biden staffers from the time did not recall any such incident being reported.
Reade is now willing to testify under oath and provide whatever information is needed to Congress.
She claims that if Biden staffers were required to testify under oath, they would have to admit to something different.
Read also dropped efforts to follow up on her initial assault claim due to intimidation.
However, she now believes that a formal inquiry into her accusations will reveal the truth. Rep. Lauren Boebert has expressed support for a formal inquiry by Congress into Reade’s allegations.
While sexual harassment and assault are not partisan issues, it is important for the truth to come to light and for those responsible to be held accountable. Multiple people have corroborated parts of Reade’s story since she first spoke out in 2020.
Her allegations are serious and need to be properly investigated. It’s important to take these allegations seriously and conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that justice is served.
It’s unacceptable for anyone to use their power and influence to commit acts of sexual assault.
The #MeToo movement has shown us that we must hold those responsible accountable, no matter who they are.
