Biden Administration’s Lack of Transparency Sparks GOP Investigation

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee are taking a closer look at the Secret Service’s role in the recent discovery of classified documents at President Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home.

Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., sent a letter to the Director of the Secret Service Kimberly Cheatle on Monday demanding visitor information as part of the GOP’s investigation into Biden’s “mishandling” of classified documents.

This request comes after the White House announced they do not keep a log of visitors to Biden’s home. Comer stated that Biden has made “approximately 52 trips,” totaling 164 days, to his Wilmington home since taking office as president.

“Given the White House’s lack of transparency regarding President Biden’s residential visitor logs, the Committee seeks information from the Secret Service regarding who had access to his home since serving as Vice President,” the letter said.

It is important to note that while the White House has not kept a list of visitors, the Secret Service does collect information on guests with regular access to the home. And now the Secret Service is prepared to offer names of people who visited President Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, home if requested by Congress.

This is not the first time the GOP has requested information on visitors to the President’s home. On January 15th, the Committee wrote White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain and requested a visitor log of President Biden’s Wilmington home during his presidency, but the White House claimed that they do not maintain such visitor logs.

This lack of transparency and mishandling of classified information is extremely concerning, especially for passionate Republican voters who want to ensure the safety and security of our nation.

The GOP’s investigation is necessary to hold the Biden Administration accountable and to get to the bottom of what really happened with these classified documents.

Comer’s letter asks for “all documents and communications related to visitor information at President Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home from January 20, 2017, to present.”

It is time for the truth to come out and for the American people to know who had access to President Biden’s home and potentially mishandled classified information.

The GOP’s investigation is crucial in ensuring that our nation’s secrets are protected and that those responsible are held accountable.
