The House Judiciary Committee’s Republicans and Chairman Jim Jordan have accused Secretary of State Antony Blinken of aiding in covering up the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, which had the potential to sway the 2020 presidential election outcome.
Morell, former CIA Deputy Director, testified that Blinken was “the impetus” of a public statement signed by past and present intelligence officials that claimed the laptop story was part of Russian disinformation.
Republicans have suggested that Blinken’s involvement in the statement shows the Biden campaign played an active role in its creation, which prevented American citizens from making an informed decision during the election.
However, White House spokesman Ian Sams has accused the Republicans of being misleading in their selective leak. The Democrats’ dishonesty and their willingness to cover up any wrongdoing by their party members are on full display in this situation.
