Kamala Harris has done it again! The vice president mistakenly referred to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as the “Federal Drug Administration” during an interview last week. While it may seem like a small mistake, it highlights the lack of knowledge and attention to detail from the current administration.
During the interview, Harris spoke about the changes taking place in the US regarding abortion, specifically the FDA’s approval of the abortion pill mifepristone 20 years ago. A case challenging the FDA’s approval of the drug is currently in progress, and Harris took the opportunity to express her views on the matter.
“It’s politicians finding a court, targeting a specific court that they thought would be helpful to them, to take a medication off the market, which was approved 20 years ago by the Federal Drug Administration,” Harris said.
However, as we all know, the correct agency responsible for approving the drug is the FDA. This blunder is not only embarrassing for the vice president but also highlights the administration’s lack of knowledge and attention to detail.
Furthermore, the case challenging the FDA’s approval of mifepristone is a critical issue that needs to be addressed properly. The FDA’s approval of the drug over 20 years ago is currently under scrutiny, and pro-life groups are challenging whether the FDA acted appropriately.
It’s time for the current administration to take responsibility and be held accountable for their mistakes. As passionate Republican voters, we must continue to keep a close eye on the administration’s actions and hold them accountable for their mistakes.
