Musk took to Twitter to voice his support for holding Fauci accountable, writing “Certainly trial.” The push to prosecute Fauci has been bolstered by recent revelations that he was not truthful in his statements to the public and in a sworn deposition last year, including his claim that he did not use Twitter.
Republicans, including House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, are now building a case against Fauci, with Jordan suggesting that Fauci could be prosecuted for making false statements to Congress. Fauci has denied any wrongdoing and maintains that he acted in the best interests of public health.
