While the liberal media and prominent Democrats perpetuated this baseless conspiracy theory, there were those among them who knew the truth but chose to remain silent.
According to the 306-page report by special counsel John Durham, CIA Director John Brennan hurriedly briefed then-President Barack Obama and current President Joe Biden in July 2016 about compelling evidence that Hillary Clinton had approved a campaign plan to smear Donald Trump by falsely linking him to Putin and the Russians.
This outrageous accusation had no basis in reality and was solely concocted by Hillary and her desperate campaign team to divert attention from her own email scandal.
What’s even more alarming is that Obama, Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and FBI Director James Comey were fully aware of Hillary’s treachery.
They all received secret briefings about the CIA’s findings, as evidenced by Brennan’s handwritten notes. Yet, for three long years, they chose to conceal the truth and allowed Trump to be vilified relentlessly by the media.
The media, fueled by the dishonest maneuvers of Comey and his cronies, eagerly propagated the false narrative. They were aided by the infamous Steele dossier, a collection of unverified and salacious claims about Trump, which was covertly funded by Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
News organizations published these lies without any verification or corroboration, further deepening the divide in our nation.
The Durham report also exposes the blatant bias and misconduct within the FBI. Agents launched an investigation into Trump based on flimsy evidence and a complete lack of actual collusion. They broke their own guidelines and used the Clinton lie as an excuse to target Trump with baseless accusations. Their actions were driven by their prejudice and hostility towards him, as clearly outlined in the report.
James Comey, the self-proclaimed champion of justice, refused to cooperate with the Durham investigation and conveniently suffers from near-total amnesia. Yet, the report reveals that he demanded and received daily briefings on the matter. He turned a blind eye to the lack of evidence against Trump and led a relentless witch hunt fueled by his personal vendetta.
While Trump faced relentless scrutiny and multiple investigations, Hillary and her cronies were given a free pass. Comey absolved her of crimes she clearly committed, including mishandling classified emails and destroying evidence under subpoena.
The FBI conveniently ignored compelling evidence of her misuse of a charitable foundation for personal gain, reminiscent of the infamous Biden family influence-peddling schemes.
The Durham report shows a clear double standard and a dual system of justice at play. Hillary received a defensive briefing about foreign actors, while Trump was left in the dark. The FBI sought surveillance warrants involving Trump’s campaign, withholding exculpatory evidence and altering supporting documents to secure these intrusive measures.
Comey misled judges by vouching for the credibility of the discredited Steele dossier, which was based on lies from Clinton’s cronies and Russian disinformation.
The irony is undeniable. Far from colluding with Putin, Trump became a victim of Clinton-induced Russian disinformation that was used to fabricate the dossier. While Trump fought against a tidal wave of false allegations, those in power who knew the truth remained silent, fueling political divisiveness in our nation.
The Durham report is a damning indictment of the lack of character and integrity displayed by Obama, Biden, Brennan, Clapper, and Comey. They willingly perpetuated a lie and watched as our nation was torn apart. Their silence speaks volumes about their cowardice and their disregard for truth and justice.
